Kate Anderson and I started this project with the vision of empowering women and the people they care for by creating comforting and nostalgic experiences one cold brew coffee and buttery hand pie at a time. The bakery is based out of Omaha, NE.
In partnership with No More Empty Pots (501c3), I was the project manager for two café build-outs. The goal of the project was to create a space in the community which offered quality food and coffee that was sustainable and locally sourced, while providing job training in hospitality.
With over ten years of hospitality and specialty coffee experience, my role as manager at Archetype Coffee primarily involved ushering the cafe into its second phase of growth. During my time I implemented and oversaw the hiring & training, marketing, and SOPs development.
I grew up listening to my Father's sermons every Sunday. He was and is an incredibly gifted communicator. As an adult, I've carried on my own love for public speaking, writing, and sharing stories. Currently, my writing projects focus on sustainability in the specialty coffee industry, long-distance running, and my journey out of Evangelicalism.
